Italian Leather

Our leathers are selected from Tuscany, Italy, a region shaped by generations of leather-making tradition.

Some of our leather partners follow the principles of the Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium, preserving the heritage of traditional vegetable tanning while supporting responsible production.

Our partner tanneries are LWG Gold Rated, meeting rigorous standards for environmental management and responsible leather production.

The Art of Vegetable Tanning

Vegetable-tanned leather is shaped through time.

Using natural plant-based tannins, washing, and air drying, the process can take months to transform raw hides into finished leather.

This slower approach allows the material to retain its natural character, strength, and depth — qualities that continue to evolve with time.

From pattern making and leather selection to cutting, stitching, finishing, and final inspection, each stage is closely overseen to ensure precision and lasting quality.

Before leaving the atelier, every piece undergoes a detailed hand inspection.
